Thank you for your interest in becoming a Ridge Kids leader! We use a world class curriculum from Orange called 252 Kids, which is from the same people who do our youth and Jr Ridge Kids. These people put a lot of time and energy in creating a program that speaks to kids at their level. Please watch the videos below for a quick primer on how it works here at The Ridge. Beside each video is a description of how this will play out at Ridge Kids.

If you haven’t already, please fill out an application to serve in Ridge Kids, either print or digital (coming soon). It will be helpful to have a copy of the curriculum to reference during this, so if you don’t have a paper copy, click here to download a sample.

God has given you a unique set of gifts and personality that he wants to use to disciple others. Relationships are the most important part of Kids Ministry – if you don’t know the kids name and things about them – they won’t care about what you say about God. 

What does 252 mean?

Every kid is different, and as they grow up, they change even more. We aim to grow our students in ways that are appropriate for them.

Large Group

Large Group is story time. It is so important that we present the Bible in a way that it is engaging to kids. It is a sin to bore kids!

Small Group

Small groups is just another name for the activities you do at the tables. The activities are not just time killers – they all reinforce the bottom line for the month. They are super fun and engaging too!

Four Faith Skills

The principles of hear, pray, talk, and live are a really simple framework on how to deepen our faith – not only for kids, but also for adults!

Partnering with Parents

A HUGE reason that new people tell us that they come to our church is because we have something for their kids. We have a great oppurtunity to partner with parents and equip them to raise their children with God! Only watch this video until 2:37.
